We have planted over 450 tropical plants,fruit trees and flowers at Del Congos de Uvita which are maintained by our on-site gardener. This is a picture from the first time I went Deep-sea fishing about 20 miles off the Pacific Coast (Marino Ballena in Uvita) from our house. I caught a 200 lb. Blue Marlin on fresh tuna which we also caught. It took over one hour to reel in this small marlin because they are all muscle. You won’t run out of things to do in Uvita, Costa Rica. The Del Congos de Uvita is located in the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica otherwise called the Brunca Coast. Until the early 1950′s, only Indians had lived here.The Costa Rican Government decided to offer land to people back then if people were willing to live there 17 years. The land was untouched Jungle with virgin coastlines. Some subsided on Fishing, some farming yet the jungle was hard to tame. To this day much of the jungle is untouched and just as beautiful as 1,000′s of years ago. Now there are small oceanside towns each with some kind of theme like Ojochal is French, Uvita is the National Park Town, Dominical is a laid back hippy surfer town, Palmar Norte /Sur is an old banana plantation town.

World Famous Whales Tail View:Our property is located on the Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica just above Costa Rica’s only Marine Biological Park called “Marino Ballena”. This area of Costa Rica was just opened up to Tourism in 1999 with the completion of the Costenara Sur Highway. Viewed by many as the nicest stretch of highway in all of Costa Rica. The Jungles are still Virgin with beautiful Luxury homes built on estate size lots of at least 3 acres. This area is affectionately known as the “Brunca Coast ” or the “Naples of Costa Rica”.

Del Congos de Uvita rental house is very unique, in that it covers over 13 acres with 400 feet of elevation just on our land. We have a 30 foot waterfall which starts from a fresh water spring on our land. Many of the trees are 3-6 feet in diameter and 60-100 feet tall. The house is situated on the top of a mountain which is right on the coast offering breathtaking views and ultimate privacy plus a much more temperate climate due to the 2,000 feet of elevation, yet the beach is only 1/2 mile away as the crow flies.
