Costa Rica Travel. The adventure of your own private Uvita Costa Rica jungle while staying at Del Congos de Uvita surrounds you as you sip a fresh pineapple Pina Colada while relaxing by the pool. Picture yourself hundreds of years ago exploring the jungles surrounding Uvita and Dominical Costa Rica and coming across a small settlement of Indians encamped on a mountain peak 2,000 feet above Playa Uvita but only 1/2 mile away from the shore ,scanning the 30 miles of coastline for Spanish Galleons.

A troupe of 8 Holler monkeys calls in the distance as you descend quietly into the jungle canopy. You feel the coolness of the air and a constant breeze off the Pacific Ocean as you descend further into the canopy. You stop for several minutes and gradually the jungle becomes more alive with the sound of a flock of green parrots whistling thru the trees. You hear some rustling in the tree branches only a short distance away and then a squawk of a white-faced monkey . Some fruits drop from the tree above you causing your heart to race and you realize that you have happened across a band of white-face monkeys feeding in the trees all around you. A mother with a small baby on her back notices you and barks out a warning call to the others as they move cautiously away from you.
The excitement has made you thirsty and you decide to turn back to the comforts of your private pool and a cold tropical fruit drink..

Deep Sea Fishing- Travel to Uvita Costa Rica

This is a picture from the first time I went Deep-sea fishing about 20 miles off the Pacific Coast (Marino Ballena in Uvita) from our house. I caught a 200 lb. Blue Marlin on fresh tuna which we also caught. It took over one hour to reel in this small marlin because they are all muscle. Costa Rica’s South Pacific Coast especially the Uvita area has abundant natural beauty from the 200′ waterfall pictured here to the 300,000 acre Marino Ballena National Park (Playa Uvita) which you have an eagles eye view of from any room at Del Congos de Uvita.
Miles of pristine Playa Uvita beaches to stroll down, where you’ll only encounter an occasional person.

The picture is of Nauyaca Falls which you can only get to by Horseback riding tour. The tour is 6 hours long but broken up by breakfast,swimming and lunch. The horses are very gentle and sure-footed. It costs $50/person which we can arrange for you in advance , so that you aren’t disappointed.

You won’t run out of things to do in Uvita, Costa Rica. The Del Congos de Uvita is located in the South Pacific Coast of Costa Rica otherwise called the Brunca Coast. Until the early 1950′s, only Indians had lived here.The Costa Rican Government decided to offer land to people back then if people were willing to live there 17 years. The land was untouched Jungle with virgin coastlines. Some subsided on Fishing, some farming yet the jungle was hard to tame. To this day much of the jungle is untouched and just as beautiful as 1,000′s of years ago. Now there are small oceanside towns each with some kind of theme like Ojochal is French, Uvita is the National Park Town, Dominical is a laid back hippy surfer town, Palmar Norte /Sur is an old banana plantation town.
